Anglesea Abbey : Four hundred years of being a religious community came to an end in 1535 with Henry VIII's dissolution of the monasteries. When the site passed into the hands of the Parker family at the turn of the 17th Century, they set about transforming it into a country house. Today the south façade is a reminder of this period in Anglesey's history.
The house, now owned by the National Trust is situated near Cambridge.

Blickling Hall : Blickling Hall, situated in North Norfolk,  was built in the early 17th century and is one of England's great Jacobean houses. It is famed for its spectacular long gallery, superb library and fine collections of furniture, pictures and tapestries.The name Blickling was originally believed to derive from the Old English word 'Bekeling' meaning water-meadow but more recently it is thought to indicate the settlement of the family or followers of one Blicla. Blickling has been the site of a manor house since long before Sir Henry Hobart built the mansion which can be seen today.
It was given to the National Trust in 1940 by the 11th Marquis of Lothian whose family had had possession since 1793 when it passed to them through the female line.

The Tower, Blickling Hall, Norfolk : Part of the stunning Blickling estate, The Tower was previously used as the second earl of Buckinghamshire’s race stand, where lords and ladies would have stood on the roof and cheered their horses on.
Today it’s part of the National Trust cottage portfolio and has undergone a huge restoration project and offers luxurious accommodation.
