Twycross Zoo, Leicestershire : Zoo created by Molly Badham, and famous for the PG Tips Chimps, situated in Leicestershire. Still principally known for its primate collection which are not always easy to photograph because of the bars on the enclosures.

Dartmoor Otter Sanctuary : On the edge of Dartmoor close by Buckfast Abbey is the delightful Buckfast Butterflies and Devon Otter Sanctuary. It's a lovely place to pass an hour or two observing the antics of the mostly rescued otters, and seeking out the butterflies and other creatures in the tropical house. Where possible the otters are returned to the wild after they have recovered their health, although a few pairs are now resident but seem very happy with their lot.

Froggy would a wooin' go : A sure sign that Spring is in the air is when our resident frogs' thoughts turn to love. Suddenly there was much activity today in our pond and it looks like there will be a bumper crop this year.
